Neocrete was founded in New Zealand in 2018 by Zarina Alexander and Matt Kennedy-Good, with a goal to re-engineer concrete to be regenerative, resilient and carbon zero. Starting from our first lab in a shipping container, we realised that to make an impact and scale fast, we had to find a way to make low-carbon concrete more affordable. We do this by boosting the efficiency of low-carbon, low-reactivity, low-cost pozzolans.

Neocrete now runs laboratories and offices in Parnell, Auckland, and a manufacturing plant in South Auckland. Our first scale customer is in Brunei in South East Asia, and we are running global testing programmes with customers in Europe, the Middle East and the USA. Neocrete is venture backed by investors led by Wavemaker Partners.
